Eight students of Dār Ahlil Qurān graduated on 29 October 2023 at the Wittebome Civic Centre in Wynberg: Azeeza Keraan, Firdouz Isaacs, Imaan Taliep, Imrah Davids, Kauthar Taliep, Razaan Esau, Saajiedah Kamalie and Saarah Noor recited their final lesson from memory in the presence of the following adjudicators: Sheikhs Igshaan Davids, Igsaan Abrahams, Muneer Satardien, Ismail Londt, and Mogamat Adams.
The
keynote speaker was Sheikh Isa Sami Al Jazari, the host of the radio programme,
Madrasah on Air.
Other guest speakers were Sheikh Shahied Esau and Imam Fahiem Isaacs.
It has been a long-awaited graduation as it was supposed to take place in 2020 but due to COVID the graduation date had been postponed to 2023.
One of the highlights was the screening of the interviews that were conducted with the graduates by Ameerah Manie prior to the event.
The
guests were treated to a slide show on the big screens of some of DARAQ’s
activities and programme for the day.

The programme concluded with students receiving certificates for various
achievements during 2023.
