Dar-Ahlil-Quran students held a picket outside Masjidul-Fatgh on 18 October 2023 from 11h00 to 12h00 The picket was held to show our support and solidarity with the people in Gaza, Palestine. Some of our friends, family and well as people from the public sector joined us.

The situation in Gaza is critical. The conflict is easily mistakes as a religious conflict but it is rather a humanity disaster, an ethnic cleansing, a genocide, perpetrated by the Zionist regime and its allies.

They massacre innocent and defenceless children, the aged and entire families. The Zionists bombard the homes and hospitals. They destroy essential services and the entire infra-structure.

They do not allow food and medicine to reach the starving, the sick and the injured.

They cut and destroy water and electricity supplies.

These atrocities didn’t start on October 7. It started in 1948, when Palestine was illegally occupied by the Zionists. Palestinians were unjustly imprisoned, freedom of movement restricted, forcefully evicted from their homes and massacred by the Zionists. We are calling for this Israeli aggression and murderous actions to stop and justice to prevail.

The picket had an overall positive response from the public, supporting the Palestinian struggle for liberation.

Dar-Ahlil-Quran stands with the people of Palestine and will continue showing our support until there is a free Palestine and the liberation of Masjidul-Quds, Ameen.
