“Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: ‘Seeking knowledge is a duty on every Muslim (male and female).”
Hadith, Ibn Maajah
Single gender education is powerful. DARAQ is the Tahfith school where Girls get special attention. Simply put, a girls’ school demonstrate to girls that there is enormous potential and power in being a girl. DARAQ endeavours to champion the education needs of girls: We have a “classroom” climate in which female students can express themselves.
The social static and inherent distractions which occur when you mix adolescent boys and girls together in a co-educational school just do not happen in a girls’ school. The social expectations and stereotypes are broken down.
Concentrating on their work and focussing on their goals are so much easier for the girls.
In the end, girls’ schools should not be judged by the absence of boys, but rather by the presence of the girls themselves.
Our Mission
We undertake to provide our students with a safe and nurturing environment. We endeavour to cultivate the potential in our students to enable them to be beneficial members of society by guiding and teaching with love, respect and patience. We lead them by example thus encouraging exemplary character, personal growth and success.
Our Vision
It is our vision is to be a leading education institution that gives practical expression to the teachings of Al-Qurán and As-Sunnah.
We shall constantly strive to develop leaders.
